January 2012

February 1st, 2012

We began the month celebrating our niece’s 1st birthday party. We packed away our Christmas decorations for another year and returned to our normally scheduled routine. We got our 1st real snow of the winter early January. It was only a dusting but the boys were excited to see it. We headed up to Grandma & Grandpa McCoy’s for a visit with the entire family including Leon, Elaine, Deb, and Thomas. It was a very nice time and we celebrated Thomas’ birthday. Brett and I went on a date that didn’t involve a birthday or anniversary for the 1st time in a long time. We went to an Italian murder mystery dinner and we had a great time.
Martin and Brody continue to be the rambunctious boys that we all know them to be. Martin is perfecting his video game skills with Mario Kart and Wii Sports. Brody now likes to do things on his own and his favorite thing to say is “I doot” or “I do it” for those that don’t speak toddler. Brody is also starting to figure out how getting dressed works and he loves having choices. It’s amazing how cooperative a little one can be when given choices. Brody is fully entering the tantrum stage and boy can he scream. Even Martin tells me that his ears are hurting when Brody screams.
Most of the month was spent battling 1 virus or another. I think we went through enough boxes of tissues that it warrants us purchasing stock in Puffs. Hopefully February is a healthier month for us all.
