December 2009

December 28th, 2009

I can’t believe 2009 has come and gone. It has been an interesting year. Kate started a new position at her company and Brett’s company has been restructing eventually landed Brett a new position in December 2009. Martin went from 1 to 2 and boy has he changed. He talks like never before much of it is still not understandable but we are getting there. Martin is becoming more coordinated and agile. He is also starting to really look like a little boy instead of a toddler.

December was a busy month as we celebrated Judy’s birthday, shopping, baking, and decorating for Christmas. We also found out we are having baby boy#2 and his full name will be Brodrick Alton Henry (he will be called Brody). Martin is understanding now more than ever that there is a baby in Kate’s belly and he will hug, kiss and rub Kate’s every growing belly. Martin found a new love this month: Frosty. I think we are going to be watching Frosty in July. We also moved Martin into his new room and he absolutely loves it. He likes to play and read in his room.

We celebrated Christmas in Wellington and then headed down to the McCoy’s to celebrate on 12/26. We had a nice time. Martin recieved all kinds of goodies from Santa, parents, grandparents, aunts, & uncles. He really isn’t sure which toys to play with 1st.

On to 2010!!!

November 2009

December 3rd, 2009

November and couldn’t have picked a better weekend. It was in the mid 60s and didn’t get extremely cold at night. Although Brett does enjoy his cold weather camping.

Kate had another doctor’s appointment and all is well. Baby #2 is as much of a mover as Martin was (and still is). The baby is getting nice and big as is evident by Kate’s every growing belly.

We spent Thanksgiving in Wellington with Kate’s parents, grandparents, and uncles and brothers. It was a nice day and we all had some good food to eat. Martin had a blast playing with papa. The following Saturday we gathered at the McCoys to celebrate Grandma Flo’s birthday. Uncle Thomas and Aunt Deb were in from West Virginia. We had a nice time┬ávisiting with everyone.

On to December and Christmas!!!
